I chose to try out this diner found in Kensington because a friend recommended it. When I first stepped into the diner I thought cute place. The server was very friendly greeting us as we came in and advising us to choose our spot. The customer service was top notch, the food was very good, only complaint would be that my eggs were a bit over done. Fast forward to getting our check, sorry to say that there was discrepancy between what the menu stated and what we were charged. However server was able to not totally rectify but did discount the meal.I did the enjoy the food and service but I would confirm cost of meal when I go there again.
Wow. Super impressed. Wasnt expecting much. But unexpectedly excellent food! Had the Steelhead. Atmosphere is relaxed, and enjoyable. Service was friendly and efficient. No complaints. I highly recommend. I shall return.
The Mat's Diner is a cozy spot for a quality breakfast/lunch. Friendly service, and solid menu and well prepared food make it worth the price. I recommend you try it.
Went for a breakfast after seeing positive reviews for vegans. Service was great but do not order the vegan hash. It was highly disappointing, $17, stale veggies heated up, and sweet potato hash brown was not fresh or crispy... compared to my partners fresh crispy hash. No effort, no sauce, had to add tomato sauce to the plain veggies. Still got charged $9. Pretty disappointing.
This place was known as The Daily, another great location to have breakfast and brunch. Located in the basement but the decor of the restaurant is nicely decorated with a family feel! Loved all their items in the menu. Price is reasonable. Highly recommend if you decide to visit Kensington!
