I visited this yarn store this afternoon and was waited on by Amber. She was so helpful and friendly. I live in Hawaii and do not have access to a lot of special yarn and this shop was a pleasant surprise. I am so thankful to Amber and her help in picking out yarn and even more thankful for her help and knowledge with using a drop spindle. The knitting community in and near Calgary is so fortunate to have this gem of a shop!
One of the best yarn stores in the world!!!! I love to visit yarn stores in every city I travel to and have visited dozens on 3 continents. Thanks to other positive reviews, I picked The Loop Kensington in Calgary and had one of the best days at a yarn store. The store has a wide variety of yarns that are smartly arranged by weight!! So much easier when you're looking for a yarn for a project to go to that weight and be able to see all your options! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy! The pricing was reasonable as well. The shop has 2 seating areas and I was warmly welcomed to spent a few hours knitting while talking with "regulars" and staff alike who dropped in to knit and visit. They included this American visitor as if I'd been there my whole life! It's a gem of a spot and I hope to make it back again someday. For those of you who are lucky enough to live here, this should be your LYS!

Nicest yarn shop in the city :-) Tons of choice, great prices, amazing atmosphere and a great place to sit & knit. Also they offer really good classes on a lot of topics!
